Villa fans don’t want to see much more of El Ghazi

Aston Villa fans have reacted angrily on Twitter towards winger Anwar El Ghazi after he went off in the first half with a facial injury.

The winger was caught in the face during the first period and after receiving treatment, decided that he could not continue and was replaced by Trezeguet.

Many Villa fans believe that El Ghazi was being too soft and could have continued, but was not motivated to fight for the team.

The Saints went on to win the match 2-0 after goals from Shane Long and Stuart Armstrong condemned Dean Smith’s men to another away defeat in the Premier League.

El Ghazi was impressive against Spurs in the first match back from the winter break, providing an assist in the 3-2 defeat at Villa Park.

The 24-year-old is also having a pretty decent season too, netting six times and registering another six assists in all competitions (Transfermarkt).

However, these Villa fans took to Twitter to show their discontent towards the Dutchman.

matchday.
