# Fans react as Dean Smith reveals Aston Villa ‘disagreement’ during Saints defeat

Aston Villa suffered a second consecutive defeat Premier League defeat on Sunday afternoon on their home patch.

Southampton left Villa Park with a 4-3 win which moved them into the top four. Goals from Jannik Vestergaard, James Ward-Prowse (2) and Danny Ings put the visitors 4-0 to the good as [Dean Smith](https://readastonvilla.com/2020/10/27/smith-reveals-frustration-with-aston-villas-fixture-schedule/)‘s men looked shellshocked.

A goal on the hour mark for Tyrone Mings saw Villa grab a lifeline, whilst stoppage time strikes from Ollie Watkins and Jack Grealish ensured a compelling finish to the game.

Grealish’s 97th minute finish proved the final action of the match, however, leaving Villa to suffer a second defeat in a row.

Following the game, [Smith revealed](https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/aston-villa-southampton-dean-smith-19203049) in his post-match press conference that he and his players had a slight disagreement over the tactics deployed in the first half.

That has prompted some Villa fans to share their thoughts on the tactics used by Smith:
