Dean Smith [loaned out Conor Hourihane](https://www.swanseacity.com/news/swansea-city-complete-loan-deal-conor-hourihane) last month in preference of the 19-year-old, so his future looks bright at Villa Park.

Ramsey is enjoying a breakout season in 2020/21, featuring [11 times](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jacob-ramsey/leistungsdaten/spieler/503749) for the first team. He has started in the Premier League and has played in six of the Villans’ last nine outings ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jacob-ramsey/leistungsdaten/spieler/503749)), drawing praise from Dean Smith who [regards](https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/aston-villa-ramsey-john-terry-19454225) him as “one for the future”.
