# Frederic Guilbert enjoying holiday in Saint Tropez, shares snap with football friends

The 2020/21 season has come to a close and Frederic Guilbert is on his summer holidays after being overlooked for the European Championships by France national team manager Didier Deschamps.

The 26-year-old didn’t stand a chance of making the 26-man squad, but he’s not letting it get him down if his social media antics are anything to go by. Guilbert has kept fans updated with his activities on his [Instagram stories](https://www.instagram.com/stories/fredguilbert02/2592434284735195042/).

Guilbert shared a video and some pictures of him and friends having a meal at Restaurant La Petite Plage Saint-Tropez – a Michelin star French dine-in. He was accompanied by Nottingham Forest goalkeeper [Brice Samba](https://www.instagram.com/brice_samba1/) and USL Dunkerque winger [Malik Tchokounte](https://www.instagram.com/malik_mt9/) among others.

The uncapped Frenchman played with Samba and Tchokounte at SM Caen, and the trio still appear to be good friends as shown in the pictures. Guilbert has a few weeks off while Euro 2020 is being played before he has to return to Bodymoor Heath for pre-season training.

He’s made [31 appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/frederic-guilbert/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/354352) in all competitions since [joining](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/frederic-guilbert/transfers/spieler/354352) Villa in 2019 and will no doubt hope 2021/22 will lead to more opportunities.
