# Matty Cash posts another training pic on IG ahead of international debut

Matty Cash is very excited to be linking up with the Poland national team after [switching his international allegiance from England](https://readastonvilla.com/2021/10/28/matty-cash-posts-picture-on-ig-after-changing-international-allegiance/), so he posted another picture on his [Instagram story](https://www.instagram.com/stories/mattycash622/2703985433443219609/) of their training session to mark the occasion.

Poland have two FIFA World Cup European [qualifiers](https://www.skysports.com/football/teams/poland/fixtures) to come against Andorra (November 12) and Hungary (November 15) and Cash is hoping to make his international debut after weeks of waiting.

The 24-year-old [joined](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/matty-cash/transfers/spieler/425334) Villa for £14m from Nottingham Forest in the summer of 2020 and has gone on to make [40 appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/matty-cash/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/425334) in all competitions, scoring one goal with three assists.

Cash has impressed since making the step up from the Championship, but he didn’t stand a chance of getting playing time with England even though he’d [caught the eye of Gareth Southgate](https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/jack-grealish-cash-southgate-england-20208444).

The right-back had too many players standing in his way of getting opportunities – Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool), Reece James (Chelsea), Kieran Trippier (Atletico Madrid), Kyle Walker (Manchester City) – so he stands a better chance of being a regular international with Poland.

Villa fans will be waiting to see his name in the starting eleven against Andorra. The Cash family may be celebrating if he starts too.
