# Fans on social media react as Wesley Moraes is linked with January exit

Wesley Moraes has an uncertain future at Aston Villa ahead of the January transfer window opening, and *Globo Esporte* (h/t [Sport Witness](https://sportwitness.co.uk/club-sent-proposal-aston-villa-january-transfer-agents-trying-release-player-situation/)) say a return to Brazil might be in the offing.

The 25-year-old is surplus to requirements in the Midlands after falling down the pecking order, leading to him seeking a [loan move](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/wesley/transfers/spieler/381362) away for more playing time.

Wesley has endured a failed stint back at Club Brugge, however, which could result in him [returning](https://readastonvilla.com/2021/12/09/fans-on-social-media-react-as-wesley-moraes-makes-january-transfer-decision/)to Villa Park months before his loan was scheduled to end.

He’s made [6/22 appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/wesley/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/381362/plus/0?saison=2021&verein=2282&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=) across the board for the Belgian First Division side and is yet to score or make an assist. Wesley has amassed only 105 minutes of football from a possible 1980 under Philippe Clement, so it’s easy to see why he wants out of the Jan Breydel Stadium.

*Globo Esporte* say Palmeiras and Sao Paulo might have a solution that benefits all parties. They’re keen to bring Wesley to Brazil on loan or permanently, but it remains to be seen if they’re successful as *Ekrem Konur* says he has a £15m asking price. Fans on [social media](https://twitter.com/Total_Villa/status/1471076033352724485) don’t believe he will fetch a lot of money though.

> Hard to believe, sounds like BS. At that fee, we’d be crazy not to sell but I don’t think it’s true at all.

> I really can’t see us getting £15,000,000 tbh. I honestly think around £5-10 Million would be realistic.

> If it suits all, go for it. The guy never really caught a break with us. I’m sure I’m not alone by wishing the guy all the best.

> I’d be genuine shocked, if we got that much back for him. To be fair, I’d be surprised if we managed to get half that figure in all honesty

The 25-year-old has made [26 appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/wesley/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/381362) in all competitions, scoring six goals with one assist. Wesley is now behind Ollie Watkins and Danny Ings at Villa, so it’s likely that he won’t add to his appearance tally.
