# Fans on social media say ‘outstanding’ Lucas Digne is a ‘baller’

Aston Villa ended their three-game winless run in the Premier League with a [1-0 victory against Everton](https://www.avfc.co.uk/news/2022/january/22/Everton-0-1-Aston-Villa-/) and Lucas Digne was one of many players who impressed at Goodison Park. Fans on [social media](https://twitter.com/search?q=digne%20%23avfc&src=typed_query&f=live) have been delighted with the form Digne’s showing and hope it continues.

The 28-year-old was coming up against his former club and received a lot of animosity from the home supporters, but he delivered a brilliant performance on Saturday afternoon and deserved his player rating of 8/10 by [Birmingham Live](https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/match-reports/aston-villa-player-ratings-everton-22840628).

Digne has helped the Midlands outfit pick up four points from his first two appearances, so his arrival from Everton has had a positive response.
