# Three Aston Villa stars hit four goal involvements in pre-season

**Three Aston Villa players have reached four goal involvements after the opening four games of pre-season.**

Brian Madjo, Emi Buendia and Luka Lynch currently lead the Aston Villa pre-season goal involvements chart as Unai Emery continues assessing his squad before the new campaign.

Madjo has produced the most eye-catching scoring return, finding the net four times without registering an assist. The young striker scored again during Saturday’s 3-1 victory over Indonesia All Stars in Jakarta.

Buendia is level with him on four contributions after recording one goal and three assists. His first goal of pre-season arrived after only three minutes against Indonesia All Stars, when Kosta Nedeljkovic picked him out inside the penalty area.

## Aston Villa pre-season goal involvements led by impressive trio

Lynch has also reached four contributions with an even split of two goals and two assists. His latest came in Jakarta when he found Madjo inside the box for Villa’s third goal.

George Hemmings sits behind the leading trio with two goals, while Nedeljkovic has provided two assists. Ross Barkley also joined the list after scoring Villa’s second goal on Saturday.

The numbers are particularly encouraging for Madjo and Lynch as they attempt to force their way further into Emery’s senior plans. Competition will increase as Villa’s World Cup players return, but both youngsters have taken advantage of the minutes offered to them so far.
