## Nicolas Jackson officially becomes Aston Villa player

The confirmation completes a rapid few days of negotiations.

Jackson [completed his Aston Villa medical earlier on Friday](https://readastonvilla.com/2026/08/28/nicolas-jackson-completes-aston-villa-medical-as-65m-transfer-nears/?utm_source=chatgpt.com) before [being registered in time to be available against Arsenal on Monday](https://readastonvilla.com/2026/08/28/nicolas-jackson-registered-in-time-for-aston-villa-debut-against-arsenal/?utm_source=chatgpt.com).

The 25-year-old spent last season on loan at Bayern Munich, helping the German club win the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal double while contributing 11 goals.

He now returns to the Premier League as Villa reshape their attack following Ollie Watkins’ departure for Al-Hilal.

Sky Sports reported that Jackson’s Villa transfer could eventually be worth £65m, with Emery moving quickly to secure a replacement for Watkins.

Jackson’s arrival is another major step in the [extraordinary Aston Villa squad rebuild taking place this summer](https://readastonvilla.com/2026/08/27/aston-villa-have-rebuilt-their-spine-in-extraordinary-transfer-window/?utm_source=chatgpt.com).

The immediate focus now turns to Monday night.

Jackson has already been registered and is therefore eligible to make his **Aston Villa debut against Arsenal at Villa Park**.
