
The Guardian are reporting today that Aston Villa loanee Scott Sinclair will be set to complete a permanent transfer for around £2.5m after Villa secured their Premier League status last weekend after Hull failed to beat Spurs, despite Villa’s 6-1 defeat to the hands of the Saints.

The Metro are reporting Welsh international Neil Taylor will be a target of Tim Sherwood’s over the summer, with Villa looking to do a cut price deal.

The Liverpool Echo is reporting that Paul Scholes has advised Tom Cleverley to ditch Aston Villa and sign for Everton, stating that it Cleverley lives near the Everton training ground and it wouldn’t surprise Scholes if he is one of Martinez’s first signings of the summer. However, notably Tim Sherwood joking told Tom Cleverley that if he didn’t sign for Aston Villa, he would be in the squad for the FA Cup Final.
