England International, Villa Captain and now Player of the year – 2 years running for Aston Villa.
The lad from Bradford has come a far way from kicking a ball around the Leeds Academy and has come through a lot to fight his way into the Villa first team, now he’s a first team player.
After joining the club from Leeds for around £8m, he had a torrid time with injury – especially in a time where managers chopped and changed, it was a surprise that he wasn’t moved on and branded “too injury prone”.
But thanks too Paul Lambert and Tim Sherwood, it seems Fabian Delph’s career has been given a new lease of life and he is looking more and more like an England regular under Roy Hodgson, looking to sit in midfield with Henderson consistently.
