It seems that Aston Villa could be edging closer to a new owner after a secret bidder has been granted exclusivity after a successful £150m bid according to The Telegraph.
It is believed the interested party are approaching the final stages of due diligence, which could mean we see a new owner within 6 weeks, ending Randy Lerner’s ownership of Aston Villa.
According to The Telegraph, the identity of the person or consortium in pole position for Villa is closely guarded secret, locked up in non-disclosure agreements.
It comes as somewhat no surprise to add also that Randy Lerner has sold his farmhouse in Hurley, near Bodymoor Heath training ground – despite speculation that the farmhouse was an asset connected and owned by Villa itself.
However, as fans all know – we went through this before when it seemed that Randy Lerner had a buyer ready last summer, so us fans will have to sit tight.
