Ron Vlaar has been offered a new contract by Aston Villa.
the Dutchman, has been at the club since the beginning of Paul Lambert’s reign as manager and has been Villa’s best center back in most seasons. However, his injury record hasn’t impressed many and as his contract has come up for renewal, fans called for his release despite his quality.
Sherwood has kept his word in trying to keep him at the club citing being an experienced head around the young team as vital in the coming seasons. It is left for Vlaar to decide whether he will stay at Villa park now, with his deal ending at the end of this month.
