12 players will be released at the end of their contract by Aston Villa, the official Premier League website can reveal – after every Premier League club had to submit their retained and released sheets today.
Surprisingly, despite Villa claiming to have offered a new contract, Ron Vlaar is among those who are on the released list.
Recent departure, Darren Bent and Edna Stevens are also on the list.
