Even after signing a new deal, Man City want to test Aston Villa with a Fabian Delph bid after City’s homegrown contingency has been depleted – according to the Metro.
It is common knowledge that Manchester City have had their homegrown players leave the club, with James Milner leaving to Liverpool and hopefully Micah Richards will be joining Villa soon. It was also suggested at some point that the City dressing room the majority of players spoke Spanish with James Milner learning Spanish especially.
It is no surprise that the Villa midfielder will be of interest of big clubs, with Delph somewhat looking like a England regular despite not playing for one of the big four clubs, and having an impressive influence as captain for Villa since Tim Sherwood’s arrival.
After Delph has committed to Aston VIlla earlier in the season, it seems like the deal would have no interest of being finalized by Villa or the player however, but doesn’t rule out any move in the future.
