Micah Richards has dropped a huge hint on his twitter account this afternoon that he’ll be signing for Villa after FAVORITING a tweet from a fan asking to confirm whether he’ll be joining the West Midlands based club.
The Birmingham born right-back is expected to be signing this week after having a medical on Tuesday, he is expected to join on a free transfer after his contract expired at City.
Villa fan Kate West typed the tweet out on Tuesday, when reports were ripe that the deal was edging closer with Richards favoriting it soon after, the tweet has done the rounds within the Villa community since.
Richards has spent the last season at loan in Italy at Serie A side, Fiorentina and appeared 19 times in all competitions.
It appears that Tim Sherwood wants the 26 year old to appear at Center-back for his side this season, with the player being offered a four year contract.
With Ron Vlaar seemingly not interested in extend his stay, it seems Richards could be a a like for like replacement.
