Charlton midfielder Jordan Cousins has attracted the interest of Villa, with Sherwood about to tempt the London club with a bid for the 21 year old midfielder – according to the Birmingham Mail.
The interest comes as Tom Cleverley leaves Villa for Everton, leaving a gap in midfield that needs filling and with the impressive form of Carlos Sanchez it seems that there is now room to grow into a position for young Jordan Cousins if he joins the club.
Cousins has represented England from u16 to u20’s, appearing 22 times for the u17, going to the European Championship’s with the u17’s and the World Cup at the same age level.
If Cousins can make the next step and carry on his career in the same positive vein of form, Villa will be a great platform.
Cousin’s is renowned at Charlton for being able to get up and down the pitch and cover a lot of ground, especially for a 21 year old, which can only be a positive.
