Reports overnight are suggesting that Fabian Delph, has a £10-million buyout clause in his contract at Aston Villa with Manchester City ready to launch a bid for one of the club’s prized possessions.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that Delph, who signed a new deal at Villa in January has a £10 million buyout clause at Villa Park and could be subject to a rise in interest with such a low buyout clause.
Delph made his debut for Villa back in 2009 and has gone on to make over 100 appearances for the Midlands side. The England international struggled with injuries over his first few years at Villa Park but has come to prominence in recent years.
Most recently Delph was made captain by Villa manager, Tim Sherwood. Delph went on to score the goal against Liverpool that took Villa to their first cup final in 5 years also playing a vital role in Villa’s Premier League survival.
