Aston Villa are looking to complete their 3rd signing of the summer by plugging the pesky left back position, with Jordan Amavi the target according to Simon Jones of the Daily Mail.
The highly rated French left back has been at Nice all his career, impressing in recent seasons earning himself international acclaim with France u21’s and many touting him to be selected for next years 2016 European Championships.
It is understood that Amavi at first rejected a move to Villa, but Villa are still pushing for their man – with Tom Fox flying across Europe to help broker deals for the club with strong rumours of a fresh takeover and fresh cash.
At only 21, this signing will definitely have the future in mind and show Villa’s commitment to investing in youth for players to grow into the Premier League or to sell on for a healthy profit.
Amavi has played 54 times for Nice during his career after moving up from the youth side.
