Aston Villa have signed the French U21 left back Jordan Amavi from Nice for a fee of around £10m, according to the Birmingham Mail.
This ends the search and constant flurry of left backs coming into the club, with the likes of Joe Bennett, Aly Cissokho and recently departed Antonia Luna (Tony Moon) being signed collectively for around the same figure in recent seasons.
Amavi comes highly rated from the French Ligue 1, with having a strong presence down the left hand side of the pitch going forward and being a fan of a strong tackle.
The 21 year old appeared 34 times for Nice last season scoring 3 and is looking to add the same kind of numbers to his Premier League tally.
This also ends the mini-saga that has been rumbling on, with clubs being able to agree fee’s but the player being dubious of doing a deal with the Premier League side, for what some would argue good reason, due to our lack of competitiveness in recent seasons.
Amavi signs a Five Year deal with the Villans.
