Tim Sherwood has added to his Villa squad by capturing Jordan Amavi and Idrissa Gueye, but how will they fit in?
Joran Amavi

Villa seemed to struggle with left backs last season with Aly Cissokho being the only decent option.
Amavi adds a lot of attacking flair with his fantastic dribbling and pace, matched with his great crossing ability. The Frenchman scored 4 goals from defence last season which is extremely impressive. He will help out with counter attacking moves and his pinpoint crosses can create goals out of nothing.
IDRISSA GUEYE

Idrissa Gueye is a strong holding midfielder who will assist the Villa’s leaky defence whilst also getting the ball up the pitch and spearheading attacking moves from deep, he’s a similar player to Xabi Alonso (except not as good obviously).
Gueye is hailed for his ability to hold up the ball and loves to get stuck into tackles.
He stays concentrated 100% of the time and is a master of interceptions, he never stops running either.
He is a great signing.
