Aaron Lennon is said to be in talks with Aston Villa, according to Simon Jones of the Mail Online.
Aaron Lennon has fallen out of favour at Tottenham since Mauricio Pochettino has come into the club, favouring big money signing Erik Lamela over homegrown talent.
The winger was sent out on loan to Everton for first-time football at the tail end of last season but failed to impress.
Now it is rumoured Villa are set to stump up a £5m fee for the English speedster to prize him off Tottenham’s hands.
This news comes as Adama Traore is seemingly wined and dined at Stoke City to join the club on a season-long loan – Villa somewhat changing their targets quickly in a pursuit for a strong squad.
Lennon will complement the team. as Sherwood reportedly wants to help bring in British signings with an influx of foreign players joining Villa this season.
The 28-year old has played 267 games for Tottenham and has 21 caps for England.
