The Sunday Express is reporting that former-Arsenal youth star, Benik Afobe is under Aston Villa manager, Tim Sherwood’s radar as he looks to strengthen his forward line
Afobe, who only signed for Wolves back in January, is hot property after scoring 32 goals and assisting 10 times in all competitions last season, making him the joint leading scorer in England last season.
With the sale of Benteke this summer, Sherwood prioritised a new attacking front as his next mission. With his spending nearing on £50-million on, will Afobe break that marker?
The 22-year-old striker still has 3 years remaining on his contract at the Molineux and with Wolves boss, Kenny Jackett not willing to sell, it could prove difficult to lure the former-England U-21 to Villa Park.
Despite all this, Afobe would be relatively cheap considering his transfer to Wolverhampton was only £2-million, but with other Premier League teams such as West Ham also looking at Afobe, the Villans will face competition for his signature.
