Jack Grealish is very close to making a decision on which country he will go on to represent, according to Republic of Ireland manager Martin O’Neill.
Grealish’s stage came with the appointment of Tim Sherwood, who gave the teenager a chance on the big stage against Liverpool in the FA Cup Semi-Final, this prompted questions being raised to Roy Hodgson on whether he’d call up the youngster.
Martin O’Neill said “The situation with Jack is that I had a conversation with him and his father a week or 10 days ago, I thought it was pretty fruitful and Jack – I think he will decide very very shortly.”
The 19-year-old hasn’t appeared this season due to picking up an hamstring injury during Pre-Season, but is building match fitness with the U21’s.
Grealish has appeared 18 times for Villa’s first team, and is with every game attracts more admirers.
It seems the Birmingham born playmaker is content on keeping Ireland and England waiting for him.
