This Saturday, Aston Villa travel down to London to take on Crystal Palace in search of consecutive away victories for the first time since the start of last season.
Crystal Palace
First of all we will start with the team news for this weeks hosts Crystal Palace. Summer signing Alex McCarthy is likely to continue in goal after starting the first two games of the season whilst their defence is expected to be unchanged.
However, a change could come in midfield with recent signing, Bakary Sako pushing for a spot in the first XI after joining from Wolves.
Apart from that, Palace have no fresh injury concerns with striker, Marouane Chamakh still some way off match fitness as is Julian Speroni.
Aston Villa
Now onto Aston Villa and they will be looking to bounce back from defeat last time out at home to Manchester United.
Brad Guzan had a good game against Manchester United and is certain to remain in goal whilst the defence is also expected to stay the same, especially with new recruit Jordan Amavi impressing last time out.
However, it could be all change in midfield and attack with Jack Grealish pushing for a start after starting and scoring for the U-21’s during the week.
Carles Gil is also in the mix to play after coming through unscathed in the same match against Derby U21’s. However, Adama Traore is not expected to feature.
Rudy Gestede is unlikely to be considered for a starting berth as he is not yet built up enough match fitness.
How they are likely to line up:
Crystal Palace:
McCarthy; Ward, Delaney, Dann, Souare, McArthur, Cabaye, Zaha, Puncheon, Bolasie, and Wickham
Aston Villa:
Guzan; Bacuna, Richards, Clark, Amavi, Westwood, Gueye, Veretout, Sinclair, Ayew, and Grealish.
