Special mentions obviously go to Ashley Westwood, who has been superb in midfield under Sherwood, adding strength to his game and bravery – not being bullied off the ball like he was so often under Paul Lambert.
Jordan Amavi is another that came close to the award, but for his questionable individual error against Crystal Palace.
