Tim Sherwood has spoken to the press ahead of Saturday’s derby clash with West Bromwich Albion at Villa Park.

On The Leicester Game…
Sherwood said that last week’s game was ‘over now’ and that they had to ‘move on and look to the future’ He described the manner of defeat last week as ‘very disappointing.’
On West Brom…
The Villa manager said that West Brom will be ‘hard to break down’ but his side will ‘have to attack’ and that his philosophy is ‘always to win and be on the front foot’.
He said that his side ‘don’t worry’ about other people and ‘what they’re ‘going to do.’
“We must make sure we don’t concede any more goals from set pieces. I’m confident we’ll be fine.”
On Derby Games…
Sherwood has enjoyed plenty of success so far in derbies as Villa manager he described the upcoming ones as ‘good games to be involved in’ and that it is ‘a lot more’ than just ‘another game’ as some managers see it. Mentioning the ‘local pride and bragging rights.’ and that his side need to do it ‘for the fans’.
On Competition For Places…
Tim Sherwood: We’ve got a few games coming up. We might need to rotate the squad. Everyone realises we’ve got competition for places here now.

“Gabby’s been a great footballer for this club over the years and is important. I’m happy with him.”
On The Season So Far…
The former-Blackburn captain said that his side haven’t got what they ‘deserve’ in the first few games this season. Saying that the points total ‘doesn’t reflect’ the way his side has played.

“I always say goals don’t come in singles. Hopefully that’s the case with Jack.”
