John Percy from the Daily Telegraph has said that Jack Grealish is expected to make his debut for the English national team in November after announcing he will not be playing for Ireland today. He cannot be selected in time for the next European Championship Qualifiers because of registration reasons, but looks set to be called up to Roy Hodgson’s side ahead of November’s fixtures.

Greasily has represented the Boys in Green at youth level internationally through his grandparents Irish background, but opted to continue his international future with England.
Cillian Moore’s Irish View
This hasn’t come as much of a surprise to many, as playing for England would give Grealish a much better chance of international success, but the question that’s hanging in the air is, can he make the England team?
Although he is extremely talented, he will have fierce competition with the likes of Raheem Sterling and Adam Lallana for a place on the team, where as if he had chosen Ireland, he would be guaranteed first team football for every game. I could of seen him becoming the Irish Gareth Bale.
Once he puts that white shirt on to represent the Three Lions there’s no going back for him and hopefully he can continue to perform in a Villa shirt as well as England.
