The son of Villa legend, Juan Pablo Angel has been taken under the wing at Arsenal on trial.
Juan Pablo was then Villa’s record signing after joining from River Plate in 2001 for £9.5-million, however with his son now training at the illustrious Hale End academy it looks like Tomy has the potential to outshine his dad on the pitch.
The 12-year old, who is eligible for Columbia, England and the USA will now try and follow in the footsteps of such prospects as Jack Wilshere, Aaron Ramsey and Kieron Gibbs who were all poached by the Gunners at an early age.
Despite many injury prone years, Angel’s finishing ability and impact on any game meant he became a big hit at Villa Park, and is the last player to score more than 20 goals in a season for the Villans. Angel left Villa in 2007 for New York Redbulls after six years in England.
