Following a promising draw with league leaders Manchester City on his managerial debut, Villa boss Remi Garde is desperate to fix the players eating habits
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, who is believed to be a friend of Garde, is famous for his techniques regarding players diets and by the looks of things the new French manager around the block is following the footsteps of the expert according to The Daily Star
Pasta is meant to be what Garde is specifically targeting. He will go as far as checking the sauce, dressing and portion size which the players are consuming in order to get a perfect pre match diet.

Villa currently lie bottom of the table, five points from safety and Garde believes that focusing on these fine details can make a big difference as his team struggles to survive in the Premier League. Garde is currently looking into what his players are being served at the club’s Bodymoor Heath training complex and is due to tweak the menu.
Another one of Garde’s beliefs is that his players should be together the night before games in order to gain team spirit ahead of their game the following day. This technique worked prior to the Man City game and the Villa boss believes that it is another small thing that could help The Villans in the long run.

Have diet changes worked in the past for BPL managers?
Arsene Wenger is heavily praised for his overhaul of the Arsenal players diets since joining and has inspired many managers at every level of the game to do so to.
Former England boss Fabio Capello famously banned ketchup but it didn’t practically seem to make much of a difference!
Paulo Di Canio also had similar ideas to Fabio Capello whilst in charge of Sunderland, he also revealed that certain players smuggled ketchup in!
With Garde looking to help fuel his players towards Premier League survival, he’ll surely be looking to have a similar impact to that of Wenger.
