Reading between the lines on Agbonlahor

Gabriel Agbonlahor is causing a stir as per at Villa Park. The transfer rumours are rife about his future with multiple clubs from England’s top two divisions being linked with the 30-year old.

Agbonlahor is a player who a lot of fans respect for his loyalty, but he is also the sort of player some fans get frustrated with and criticise heavily. Both views are justified 100%.

Although he has served The Villans for so long, nobody truly knows if his loyalty has ever been tested. There were rumours of a move to Arsenal before but nothing was ever forthcoming when that link was around many moons ago.

In recent weeks, it is clear the former-England man has no future at Villa Park. Remi Garde has made no indications that Agbonlahor will be sticking around or leaving with comments just suggesting the exit door looks likely.

Furthermore, Gabby’s own Instagram is proving interesting in past weeks with posts being cryptic and suggesting of a man who may well be on the move.

A post yesterday with no comment of him and Andreas Weimann lined up well with recent links to him and a move to Derby County, where Weimann is currently plying his trade.

Also, two weeks ago he posted a picture with a quote on with the caption, ‘decisions, decisions’.

Read what you want into both posts, but this surely suggests he is ready to depart the club he has spent his whole career at?

If he does leave it will be interesting to hear his side of the coin also. Whatever happens it is clear our rivalry game hero will divide opinions.
