Matthieu Debuchy is set to become an Aston Villa player on loan, after changing his mind and deciding the join Premier League bottom club after previously deciding against a move, according to L’Equipe.
The Arsenal man has been out of favour in recent seasons due to the unexpected development of Hector Bellerin, therefore not getting the game time in the Premier Legaue.
As a result Debuchy, 30, has been looking for first team football to give him a better chance to impress French national team manager Didier Dechamps for the upcoming Euro 2016, hosted by Debuchy’s home nation, France.

The U-Turn has come as moves from elsewhere in Europe had broken down, Roma were said to be interested but with their recent change in manager, the move came to a halt.
It seems Remi Garde has got his man and is closer than he has ever been to joining Aston Villa, giving much-needed quality in defence.
