According to The Guardian, Newcastle are reportedly interested in bringing in Villa winger Scott Sinclair if they are unable to pay the £14-million Spurs want for Andros Townsend.
Sinclair has played for numerous clubs in his career including Chelsea, Swansea and Manchester City.
The winger who only joined Aston Villa on a permanent basis last summer and claimed to be “at his happiest” after signing a contract with The Villans but with their season going south, the former England under 21 international might be looking for a way out.
It seems Villa could be ready to cash in on Sinclair to boost transfer funds this window.

Steve McClaren has already bolstered his Newcastle side with the signings of Jonjo Shelvey and Henri Saivet but would like to add some width to the team. The former English manager is said to be keen on bringing in Townsend but has also registered interest in Scott Sinclair.
