Aston Villa are planning to sign Bolton Wanderer’s Zach Clough should they be relegated according to a report from the Daily Mail.
The 20-year-old striker has been subject of much speculation in the last few months due to his potential and Bolton’s financial situation meaning that they will be forced to sell up certain players.
Bristol City already tried to sign Clough in the January transfer window in a £2million deal but after that fell through it is now the Premier League side Aston Villa who want to bring the young forward into their squad.
With Villa looking set for relegation to the Championship this season, they are already looking for players they can sign when they drop down a tier. And with Clough already gaining experience at this level while having plenty of potential to grow in the future, he is seen by the Villa hierarchy as the perfect man to sign should they be relegated.
