Last season saw Aston Villa finish in their lowest ever position in the Premier League since it began in 1992.
It also turns out that last season was a horror show off the field, as well as on it with Villa’s accounts for June 2014-May 2015 showing a huge loss of £27.3 million compared to a £3.9 million loss the previous year.
Many supporters will be bewildered to know that a club, who’s main aim of the past six years has been to cut costs, along with the ridiculous sums of money that Sky and BT continue to pump into the league via TV rights, can continue to lose that much money whilst continuing to see their side struggle to compete in the Premier League.
The accounts, filed with Companies House under the name of Villa’s holding company, Reform Acquisitions Limited, show a massive increase in operating costs whilst declining revenues in other parts of the club.
