Aston Villa’s 24 year stay in the Premier League comes to an end this Sunday, with Villa travelling to London to face Arsenal at the Emirates.
It has been a tumultuous six years for Villa since Martin O’Neill left, with disastrous managerial appointments unable to achieve anything other than Premier League safety whilst having very little to spend compared to what Martin O’Neill was allowed to spend.
However, this season has finally seen Villa’s luck run out, with caretaker manager Eric Black being Villa’s fourth manager of a shocking season after Tim Sherwood and Remi Garde were both dismissed after failing to pick up sufficient points, whilst Kevin MacDonald had a caretaker spell earlier in the season.
Villa did manage to end a run of 11 straight defeats against Newcastle at the weekend, with a 0-0 draw at Villa Park.
