Aston Villa head to the Emirates on Sunday, to face Arsenal in what will be Villa’s final game of a miserable season.
Villa’s record at the Emirates when the stadium first opened was the best of any visiting Premier League team, with Arsenal failing to beat Villa until December 2009, when a Cesc Fabregas inspired Arsenal beat Villa 3-0.
Since then, Villa have beaten Arsenal twice at the Emirates, in May 2011 and August 2013.
However, Villa’s recent record against Sunday’s hosts is nothing to boast about, with Villa only scoring one goal in the last five meetings between the two sides, with Villa failing to find the net against Arsene Wenger’s side since January 2014.
Recent results against the Gunners include the 4-0 drubbing Tim Sherwood’s Villa side received in the FA Cup final last May and last season’s 5-0 defeat in North London.
