Charles N’Zogbia and Kieran Richardson have been released by Villa, according to the Birmingham Mail.
The contracts of both players are due to end this summer and it seems that Villa have decided against renewing the lucrative deals of two players who have failed to perform during their time in B6.
N’Zogbia, who was Alex Mcleish’s second signing as Aston Villa manager, has failed to perform during his five years as an Aston Villa player despite his hefty price tag and rumoured £60,000 per week wages.
Meanwhile, former Manchester United and Sunderland left-back Kieran Richardson will also be on the lookout for a new club after Villa decided against extending his two year stay at Villa Park.
Richardson, who was brought in on a free transfer by Paul Lambert in the summer of 2014, has failed to impress with his performances often derided by fans.
Meanwhile, six Villa academy graduates will also be seeking new clubs this summer, having failed to make the grade at Villa Park.
Benjamin Siegrest, Joshua Webb, Lewis Kinsella, Janoi Donecian, Charlie Bannister and Kodi-Lyons Foster will all be looking to kick-start their professional careers next season having been released by Villa.
