Roberto Di Matteo is reportedly keen to add to his backroom staff, with the Birmingham Mail reporting he is looking to bring in a performance analyst.
Since his appointment was confirmed in early June, Di Matteo has wasted no time in appointing a vastly experienced coaching team.
His first appointment was his former Chelsea team-mate Steve Clarke as assistant manager, whilst he has also convinced former Tottenham coach Kevin Bond to join as first-team coach.
He has also added former Manchester City goalkeeping coach Massimo Battara and fitness coach Max Marchesi to replace Tony Parkes and Robert Duverne.
Moreover, Di Matteo has also identified Villa’s sports science department as an area in which the club needs to improve, with former performance analyst Seamus Brady having left the club when Tim Sherwood departed the club in October.
It is reported that former sporting director, Hendrik Almstadt, was looking into potential candidates to fulfill the role before he was fired in March.
