Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic are currently debating whether to make a bid for Aston Villa’s Scott Sinclair according to the Telegraph.
This comes after Villa boss Roberto Di Matteo admitted that some sales could be on the cards as he attempts to get the club back into the Premier League at the first time of asking.
The Scottish side are currently preparing an improved offer of £3 million for the 27-year-old after having two previous bids turned down by Villa last week. However, the club expect Celtic to come in with another offer shortly.
Sinclair signed for Villa only last summer after a successful loan spell. He was vital in Villa’s run to the 2015 FA Cup Final, scoring against both Leicester City and West Bromwich Albion.
However after signing permanently, he failed to show the form he had in his loan spell, with his only highlights being a hat-trick against League 2 Notts County and scoring twice against Sunderland in a 2-2 draw early in the season.
