Villa chairman, Dr Tony Xia, has hinted at further player departures in a post on Twitter.
Xia, who completed his takeover of Villa in mid-June, has provided funds for Roberto Di Matteo to reshape the Villa squad, with the arrivals of Aaron Tshibola, Pierluigi Gollini and Tommy Elphick costing around £12 million.
However, it seems attention has now turned to players who are on their way out of Villa Park, with Xia hinting that 3-4 departures from the club are imminent.

Three senior players have already departed the club this summer, with Kieran Richardson and Charles N’Zogbia having left the club after their contracts expired, whilst whilst Jose Angel Crespo joined PAOK at the beginning of July.
Two players that will not be leaving the club however are Jordan Amavi and Jordan Ayew. Xia tweeted last week that both players, who arrived at Villa last summer, will be staying at Villa this season as Di Matteo looks to lead Villa back into the Premier League.
