Brad Guzan is set to end his eight-year association with Villa, with the American goalkeeper set to join newly promoted Middlesbrough by the end of the week.
Following the signing of Pierluigi Gollini this summer, there have been question marks over his future and it seems his time at Villa Park is over, with BBC WM reporting he is set to join Middlesbrough.

The 31-year-old who represented the USA at the Copa America last month, originally joined Villa in the summer of 2008, often replacing Brad Friedel in goal for cup fixtures.
However, he was released in 2012 after only making eight league appearances before being re-signed by Paul Lambert and establishing himself as Villa’s first choice goalkeeper over the following seasons.

Under Tim Sherwood, Guzan was dropped following a series of poor performances before re-establishing himself once again as Villa’s first choice goalkeeper.
However, after an incredibly poor start to the season, Guzan was once again dropped, with Remi Garde installing Mark Bunn in goal.
Guzan will be competing with former Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes to become Middlesbrough’s first choice goalkeeper, with the three-time Champions League winner having joined the north-east club from Manchester United on a free transfer earlier this summer.
