Brad Guzan and Idrissa Gueye are expected to complete their moves away from Villa Park, with both players set to become the first major departures of Roberto Di Matteo’s reign.
The Teesside Gatzette reports that Guzan has completed his medical ahead of a move to the North-East, with the American set to become Middlesbrough’s back up goalkeeper with Victor Valdes ahead of him in the pecking order.

If he does complete his move today, he could be set to make his debut against Villa tomorrow, with Aitor Karanka bringing his side to Villa Park.
Meanwhile, ESPN report that Gueye is edging closer to completing his move to Merseyside after Everton triggered his £7.1 million release clause. Gueye, who joined Villa last summer from Lille, flattered to decieve last season despite his hefty price tag.
The only obstacle in the way of Gueye completing his move to Everton is a medical, with Gueye understood to be undergoing his medical on Friday.
