Talksport journalist Callum Williams has reported that Aston Villa have made a bid for Palace and Australia midfielder Mile Jedinak.

Defender Scott Dann replaced Jedinak as Palace captain for the forthcoming season, fuelling speculation that he could be set to leave Selhurst Park this summer.

Villa, eager to add experience to their squad as they look to fight their way out of the Championship following last season’s relegation, are believed to have launched a bid for Jedinak in recent hours.
The 32-year-old midfielder joined Palace on a free transfer from Turkish side Genclerbirligi in 2011 and was immediately named the captain of the side.
Under contract until next summer, it seems the Eagles are ready to part ways with their hard-hitting defensive midfielder with Aston Villa ready to swoop in.
Jedinak spent his first two seasons with Palace in the Championship and skippered the side to their 2012/13 promotion and would provide excellent experience and leadership for a young and developing Villa side.
