West Brom are preparing to make a renewed bid to sign Aston Villa striker and West Ham target Jordan Ayew this summer, according to Ghanasoccernet.
After Diafra Sakho failed a medical ahead of a proposed club-record £16m move from West Ham, the Baggies have had to go back to the drawing board in their search for a new striker this summer.
It was reported yesterday in the Birmingham Mail that the Baggies were prepared to give up in their efforts to sign the Ghana international forward this summer because they believed he was set to follow his brother, Andre, and complete a move to West Ham.

Aston Villa owner Dr Tony Xia has reiterated numerous times that Ayew would not be leaving Villa Park this summer despite rumoured interest.
A loan move for Jordan was discussed and sources close to the player believed he would complete a move to West Ham if they came in with a formal offer, but Tony Pulis isn’t giving up that easily.
The 24-year-old scored eight goals last term for Aston Villa and was subject to an £8m bid from Bundesliga side Hamburg earlier this summer, which was rejected, meaning West Brom need to make a bid more than that.
It would surely be a huge blow for the Villans if Ayew was to leave to link up with his brother at West Ham United.
