The news comes from Villa owner Dr. Tony Xia who has taken to Twitter to confirm the news himself that the club will unveil a new arrival this afternoon.
Following their relegation to the Championship, Villa have been keen on bolstering their midfield and have moved swiftly to sign the Australian international captain.

Jedinak was replaced as Crystal Palace captain by Scott Dann earlier this summer which raised questions over his long-term future at the club.
Since then, Villa have had a £4m bid accepted for Jedinak who was spotted at Villa Park yesterday before undergoing a medical and finalising his move.

Xia responded to questions about the arrival of Jedinak earlier today, stating that the club were working hard to sort out his work visa before confirming the deal, which now appears to be sorted.
