Contrary to reports, Aston Villa have not agreed a deal to sign winger Wilfried Zaha from Premier League side Crystal Palace.
Villa have already signed Australian midfielder Mile Jedinak from Alan Pardew’s side this summer, but reports emerged on Monday morning that there would be another transaction between the clubs, with Zaha the subject of an undisclosed bid.
But, in fact, owner Dr. Tony Xia has dismissed claims that the Villains have even lodged a bid for the 23-year-old and believes that they are being used by Palace to nudge up the price of their in-demand winger.

No. We were being used by others to bargain, I think. https://t.co/6zmSrobtu7

Zaha has been linked with a move away from Palace since the arrival of Andros Townsend earlier this season. In the season’s opening games, the Englishman has been operating on the left wing, opposed to his usual position on the right.
