Aston Villa forward Ross McCormack has revealed why he favoured a move to Villa Park over Carrow Road this window in an interview.
The former Fulham striker was speaking on the Sky Sports EFL weekly podcast when he spoke about how both Norwich City and Aston Villa had made a move for him.
I chose Villa and I still don’t see any reason why it is the wrong decision, they’ll (the two clubs) be very close this year.
He revealed how he felt like he could not turn down an offer from the Midlands side. Describing Villa as one of the biggest ‘if not’ the biggest side in the second division of English football.
I’m lucky one of the biggest if not the biggest team in the Championship wanted to spend money on me, I felt I couldn’t turn them down.
McCormack admitted both Norwich and Aston Villa will be close this season towards the top of the table but the stature of the claret and blue side was an impact on his decision.
The 30-year-old sealed a move to the Villans from Fulham for around £14 million earlier on in the window and has since found the net once.
