Aston Villa have recently been linked with the West Ham forward come winger Enner Valencia with reports suggesting the Midlands side had a bid rejected the other day.
The Championship side’s owner Dr Tony Xia has since liked a tweet which could suggest he will not be advancing on making a move for the Ecuadorian international.
Xia who has grown a reputation for his consistent communication with the fans since the takeover liked the tweet from @TheVillaView_ which said: “Does this mean you’ve decided NOT to sign Valencia?”
Now, it could be something of nothing but if your owner is liking a tweet suggesting he isn’t interested in taking a player to a club it seems concrete enough.
Furthermore, Xia followed up the tweet with a quote from Mao whereby he suggests he listens to the fans views. Many Aston Villa fans have tweeted plenty of their critique on Valencia, so perhaps that is a contributing factor.
