Aston Villa owner Dr Tony Xia has revealed that Villa fans can expect to hear an announcement today or tomorrow on the capturing of a new striker.
It depends on at how you read into things but just after midnight, the Villans owner tweeted that the fans should expect an announcement ‘tomorrow’.

Xia had previously talked about how a move would come to its head on Sunday so either today or tomorrow fans can expect to hear an announcement.
He also confirmed that the striker would not be West Ham striker Enner Valencia and that the club had made a £20 million bid for Hull’s Abel Hernandez but they didn’t have any luck with that pursuit.
The move for a striker is one that should help complete Roberto Di Matteo’s squad with the Midlands side currently lacking a clinical edge.
They were defeated 3-1 at Bristol City with Di Matteo left rueing missed chances throughout the game.
